Friday 8 March was International Women's Day – and we celebrated in style at Haverstock with some amazing special guests.

First thing on Friday morning, our girls football team were very excited to showcase their skills to a special VIP audience: Mark Bullingham, FA Chief Executive Officer; the fabulous Fara Williams MBE, one of the England football team's best ever Lionesses and now a BBC pundit; Stephanie Peacock, MP and Shadow Sports Minister; and Sir Keir Starmer, our local MP and Leader of the Opposition. 

The students played for a while before stopping to meet and chat with their special audience. Our guests were rightly impressed and praised the girls' skills, athleticism and dedication to the game. Watch them on the video link here.
