Welcoming Our New Year 7 Students
It has been a busy and exciting week as we welcomed our new Year 7 students and their families to our school community.
On Tuesday 1st July, we held our Transition Evening, and we were delighted to welcome such a fantastic turnout of parents and carers. Thank you to everyone who attended. We hope the evening provided valuable information about the school, our expectations, and the support available to help students make a smooth and successful transition to secondary school.
On Thursday 2nd July, we held our Transition Day for our Year 6 students. The day gave students the opportunity to explore the school, meet their tutors, get to know their new classmates, and begin building positive relationships with staff. Throughout the day, students took part in a range of engaging activities and enjoyed a guided tour of the school. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, confidence, and excitement as they experienced life at our school.
The excitement continued on Saturday when we welcomed many of our new students back for another enjoyable transition event. Students thoroughly enjoyed taking part in archery, football, and tie-dye T-shirt making. It was fantastic to see them making new friends, developing their confidence, and enjoying themselves in a relaxed and welcoming environment ahead of starting secondary school.
We would like to thank all of our students, parents, carers, and staff for making our transition events such a success. We look forward to welcoming all of our new Year 7 students in September and are excited to begin this new chapter together. We hope everyone has a happy, safe, and restful
Nazifa Hannan,
