Back to newsCongratulations to our 2019 Career Network Graduates.
Posted on: 7th Jun 2019Earlier this term, we celebrated the graduation of our largest ever group of Haverstock Career Network (HCN) students.
Our Corporate Partnerships & Career Network Manager, Alexandra Abraham, writes:
On Friday 3 May, our largest–ever graduating cohort of Haverstock Career Network students celebrated their HCN journey at NBC Universal’s West End offices. The 42 students of the 2019 graduating HCN class took part in a ceremony attended by mentors, board members and other supporters.
Each student was celebrated and our 3 HCN Students of the Year – Rezbieara Rahman (STEM), Tamarra Anabeza (Arts & Media), and Don Ahmetaj (Business and Finance) – were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the programme. Students also enjoyed lunch and a movie screening in one of Universal’s private screening rooms – usually reserved for A-list celebrities!
A huge thank–you to our partners at NBC Universal for hosting, and a massive congratulations to all graduates. Cheers to all that comes next!
‘It’s hard to believe we’ve come to the end of our time with the HCN, and that the group of mature young adults sitting here today are the same group of unpolished students who started the programme 18 months ago. Thank you all who make the HCN possible.’

This 18-month programme aims to bridge the gap between education and employment through a range of meaningful, hands-on learning experiences of the world of work. It is the only provision of its kind in Camden, and places our Sixth Form's careers programme among the best in London and the UK.
Participating Sixth Form students enjoy the benefit of a 1:1 mentor, and take part in a wide range of work-related events, activities, workplace visits and workshops, as well as a paid summer internship.
