Posted on: 17th Oct 2019Sixth Form Students Visit Careers Fair.
Earlier this month, a group of Haverstock Year 13 students spent the afternoon attending the Social Mobility Careers Fair at Westminster Central Hall.
Organised by Making The Leap charity, the Fair aims to connect talented young people with interested employers. From MI5 to high street banks, the employers were all interested to meet our students and spend some time talking about paid internships, work placements and apprenticeships.
Our students were impressed by the broad range of companies attending. Sixth Former Jessica says, 'I found out that Lidl has a Properties Department – and that's what I'm interested in!'
And Year 13 student Adhurim says, 'It's really opened my eyes about what's available. I had no idea that HM Treasury offered post-school placements and apprenticeships. I'm very pleased I went.'
