Next term begins with Flying Start Days, designed to get every child off to their best possible start of the year. They take place at the start of term, Tue 3 and Wed 4 September. Find out more – including how to book your appointment – below.

Please note: every student is required to book and attend a Flying Start meeting.

What is it?  

• A 10-minute meeting with you, your child, and their tutor. 
• Please note that students' attendance will be recorded on these days; therefore, theyMUST attend their appointment slot.

Why are we doing them?

• To welcome you back - we will be very excited to see you!
• To reflect on last year. 
• To think ahead to the new academic year - how we can work together to support your child. 

When are they?

• Tuesday 3 September or Wednesday 4 September.
• 10:00 - 3:00 (10 min slot per student)
• Attendance is only required for the 10 min meeting booked not the whole school day.

We will have additional staff available on both days to support you with Parent apps, uniforms, free school meals, and any additional queries you may have for the start of the year.

Booking your appointments

Our appointment times will be from 10am – 3pm on both days. Each appointment will last for 10 minutes. 

Please use the Parent Portal on Arbor (https://login.arbor.sc/) to book a time slot with your child’s tutor.  

If you have more than one child in years 8-11, please book a separate appointment for each child.
