Haverstock School’s first ever Activities Week is running from Monday 14th to Friday 18th July 2025, thanks to the brilliant work of our Student Council.
Activities Week is a really exciting opportunity for students to aim high, step forward, and be kind - both to themselves and others. Instead of curriculum lessons, students will take on new challenges, explore different interests, and work together in a range of engaging activities beyond the classroom. Whether pushing themselves to try a new sport at an Outdoor Adventure Centre, stepping out of their comfort zone in a creative project inspired by the Design and Textiles Museums, or working as a team to solve a real-world challenge at Monopoly Live, every student will have the chance to build confidence, develop resilience, and create lasting memories.
The activities for the week have been put together based on student feedback, gathered by our Student Council. By popular demand, Year 10 will have the opportunity to go to Thorpe Park. The week begins with 3 days of choice activities (whilst Year 10 take on their important work experience), then all students in Years 7 to 10 will come together for Sports Day. The week ends with a celebration day on the final day of term.
Activities Week has been designed by teachers and students together; it aims to offer students the chance to discover new passions and learn new skills in a fun and inclusive environment, supported by staff.
Parents and carers will receive a detailed letter and brochure today via email, outlining the fantastic choice of activities available for Monday to Wednesday, and explaining how students can submit their preferences. We encourage all our families to discuss the options together, to make sure your child chooses experiences that will inspire and challenge them.
Activities Week is an important part of Haverstock’s commitment to broadening horizons and building a strong, inclusive community. We look forward to seeing every student take part. If for any reason you don't receive the brochure, please do contact our school office on the link below.
