Our Personal Development curriculum is designed to ensure that Haverstock students become well-prepared and informed citizens. PSHCE is delivered not only through dedicated lessons but also as part of our carefully planned pastoral curriculum, which takes place every morning.

This week, students celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week, focusing on the theme Know Yourself, Grow Yourself. They explored emotional awareness, learned key facts about the brain, and took part in activities to develop emotional resilience and healthy coping strategies.

Our students asked, and we listened...

Last July, we invited all our students and families to give feedback on what they'd like to see in the PSHCE curriculum. We had a great response and many students expressed a strong interest in having more Personal Development workshops. So we made it happen!

This term, students have enjoyed some fantastic opportunities including live first aid training provided by the Camden Youth Detach Team, and a Year 9 Sex and the Law workshop, facilitated by Brooks.

Our Year 10 students have continued their involvement in the Positive Masculinity Project, led by Hopscotch. This pilot program, designed at Haverstock for selected students, provides a safe and supportive space to challenge gender stereotypes and explore healthy perspectives on identity. As a reward for their commitment to the project, the students involved have voted for an exciting trip to a Live Escape Room!

At Haverstock, we are committed to ensuring that our students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Through engaging workshops and meaningful discussions, we empower our young people to make well-informed decisions that will support them beyond their school life.
